The Jewish Community Foundation of Central PA honors Chisuk Emuna Congregation\u2019s Jack Solomon (z\u2019l)<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The Chisuk Emuna Endowment Fund originated in the early 1990\u2019s thanks to the efforts and generosity of Jack Solomon (z\u2019l) and Neil Rovner. They understood the need for a reliable funding stream to sustain clergy salaries and other synagogue expenses that would continue to increase, especially having two clergy at the time.<\/p>\n

Jack and Neil set up a meeting with potential donors to create the Chisuk Emuna Endowment Fund. The Fund was originally housed with the congregation and shortly thereafter placed in the Jewish Community Endowment. Donor contributions and investment growth have continued to increase the fund value. Distributions from the fund are included in the annual Chisuk Emuna budget.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

As Sam Levine, Chair of the Jewish Community Foundation and Emcee of the event said, \u201cJack Solomon was a doer who never ran away from a challenge. Whether it was raising money for a small church that desperately needed $13,000 to replace their windows, helping someone in need or having the vision to create an endowment to make sure that Chisuk Emuna would have the funds to support their operational needs, Jack Solomon got it done.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Chisuk Emuna looks forward to growing its endowment to help continue to provide its members and the community with meaningful programming and spiritual enrichment.<\/p>\n

Jack Solomon (z\u2019l) was active at Chisuk Emuna for many years.
\nHe was a board member and officer who was dedicated to the financial well being of the congregation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
