13 Nov 2015 Foundation Applauds Outstanding Volunteers by admin | posted in: news | 0 Foundation Applauds Outstanding VolunteersDuring the first Joint Agency Annual Meeting (JAAM) held this Fall the Jewish Community Foundation of Central Pa honored Janice Levine, Lee Siegel, Ben Chadwell and Carl Shuman for their extraordinary efforts. Dorothea Aronson, immediate past Chair of the Foundation stepped in for Sam Levine, Foundation’s current Chair who was not able to attend and presented the awards to our outstanding Honorees. In addition to the Foundation participants in the joint agency annual meeting included the Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg, the Jewish Home and Jewish Family Service. Each agency honored their own group of extraordinary volunteers. Celebrating their milestone and achievements together - as a community - ensured that the evening was a moving experience for all. Touted as the first ever joint agency annual meeting, event MC Matt Maisel, son of Neysa and Mark Maisel, added clever wit and charm to the affair. Attendees applauded the event as a Hamish success. Many suggested we make it an annual affair and hold more such communal gatherings where we come together to celebrate our collective impact on the lives of those we serve. Through our Jewish Community Foundation of Central PA’s new Partnership with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation to present their Life & Legacy initiative we are looking forward to working collaboratively - our agencies and synagogues alike - to build community resources. Best wishes to all of our Central PA synagogues and Jewish agencies for a year of significant achievements, financial milestones and successes! Your Jewish Community Foundation Board and Professional Team!
