Mimi Brodeur is a graduate of Hamilton College in upstate NY and has a Grand Diplome from the prestigious Ecole de Cuisine, La Varenne in Paris, France. After her studies in France, she returned home to Oregon, where she was a caterer, consultant, cooking instructor and pastry chef at a four star resort on the Oregon coast.

Eventually she moved to New York City where she worked at Food & Wine magazine as recipe editor, test kitchen associate and regular contributor. While in New York, she also assisted Martha Stewart with entertaining seminars held at Stewart’s farm in Westport, CT.
In 1993, Mimi moved to Hershey, PA where she stayed home to raise her four children on the family farm as she continued her review of restaurants for PA Media Group.

She has written two cookbooks, The Mushroom Cookbook and Peach Cookbook, both published by Stackpole Books. She and her husband, Rick, are enjoying their empty nest while their yellow lab, Frankie, continues to find and chew up anything of value.
